Plan your remodel like a project manager — without the project-manager price tag.

The RemodelLedger Home Renovation Planner System is a complete spreadsheet system for homeowners renovating a kitchen, bathroom, or a whole house. Track what you planned to spend, what you are actually spending, what you have paid, and what is still due — all in one place, with a dashboard that updates itself as you type.

WHAT’S INCLUDED (instant digital download)
• Blank workbook — ready for your project
• Filled example workbook — a complete $60,000 kitchen remodel, so you can learn the system in minutes
• Quick Start guide (PDF) — setup in plain English, step by step

THE 9 TABS
1. Start Here — project settings and simple instructions
2. Dashboard — total budget, estimated vs actual, amount remaining, contingency left, cash due now, % complete, plus automatic alerts
3. Budget — estimated vs actual for every cost, with over-budget lines flagged in red
4. Contractor Bids — compare 2–5 bids per trade; the lowest bid is flagged for you
5. Change Orders — only Approved change orders count toward your totals, and they draw on your contingency
6. Payments — see what is Paid, what is due now, and what is Scheduled
7. Materials — quantities and unit costs total themselves
8. Timeline — tasks, dates, and % complete
9. Contingency — your safety cushion, tracked separately so surprises stay visible

HOW IT WORKS
Type in the yellow cells. The grey cells are formulas — they do the math. Dropdown menus keep your entries tidy. No subscription, no special software, no learning curve beyond basic typing.

WORKS WITH
Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (free with a Google account). Formatted to print if you like paper on the job site.

PLEASE NOTE
This is a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD — no physical item will be shipped. The example project (Maple Street Kitchen) is fictional and included for learning. Minor layout differences can occur between Excel and Google Sheets. Colors may vary slightly by screen.

A note on how our files are made: files are created with the help of AI tools, then every formula is tested and checked by hand before listing — this workbook passed 67 formula checks against hand-computed totals.
