Ask a reader in December what they read in March and you will get a thoughtful pause. The Reading Log & Book Tracker ends the pause: one workbook for everything you finish, everything you want to read next, and the goal you set in January — plus the paper pieces, a bookmark that logs each book and bookplates with your name on them, for the books themselves.

The workbook — 4 tabs:
• Reading Log — one row per book: title, author, genre, format, pages, the dates you started and finished, your star rating (whole stars, 1 to 5), and your notes. Days to Read calculates itself, and the totals row keeps your pages, finished count and average rating current.
• TBR List — the to-be-read pile before it becomes a landslide: title, author, genre, a High / Medium / Low priority, the format you want, and where you heard about it. Live counts at the bottom show exactly how the pile breaks down.
• Reading Challenge — type a year and a goal once. Books finished, books to go, percent of goal complete, total pages read, average rating, average days per book, your longest book, your five-star count — plus a month-by-month breakdown and a by-format breakdown, each with a check total so you can see the numbers agree.
• Favorites Shelf — the all-time shelf: your rating, how many times you have read it, and why it earned its place. The book you lend out and immediately want back lives here.

The paper pages — printables in US Letter and A4:
• Reading log bookmarks, three per sheet: the front logs one book start to finish — dates, format checkboxes, five stars to fill in, a read-it-again verdict and one line to remember it by. Print double-sided and the back is a Notes & Quotes page with a mini TBR list, lined up exactly behind the front.
• “From the Library of” bookplates, six per sheet, with a blank name line — print on card stock or sticker paper, write your name, and your books come home.
• A To Be Read list page: twelve entries with checkboxes and H / M / L priority circles, in the same design as the workbook’s TBR tab.

The example is a real-shaped year, not a fantasy. The filled EXAMPLE workbook is one reader’s 2026 so far: 16 books on the log (14 finished, 2 still going), 6,054 pages, a 24-book challenge sitting at 58.3%, six five-star finishes — and a 10-book TBR pile with four High priorities. Every number is worked out by the formulas from the log itself, so you can trace exactly how the whole system connects before you type a single title of your own.

Keep reading, keep organized — the rest of the shelf:
• Your name on the notebook you write in: the Personalized Name Notebook ($24.99, printed and shipped) — a hardcover journal personalized with your name.
• The weekly shop, handled: the Grocery List Printable ($4.99) — ten aisle categories, a meal planner, and a staples checklist.
• The deep cleans, on a rhythm: the Deep Cleaning & Home Care Schedule ($12.99) — 56 tasks room by room, with a supply tracker.

You receive 5 files:
1. The tracker, BLANK (Excel .xlsx) — all 4 tabs with every formula built in, ready for your shelf.
2. The tracker, EXAMPLE (Excel .xlsx) — the filled-in reading year described above.
3. The printables, US Letter (PDF, 4 pages) — bookmarks front and back, bookplates, TBR page.
4. The printables, A4 (PDF, 4 pages) — the same pages for A4 paper.
5. A Quick Start Guide (PDF) — setup in about 5 minutes, every tab explained, and printing in 3 steps.

Good to know:
• Works in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Yellow cells are for typing, grey cells are formulas — that’s the only rule.
• No subscriptions, no macros, no add-ons. Buy once, log books forever — start a fresh copy of the BLANK file each January if you like a clean year.
• Print the paper pages at 100% (Actual size); the margins are already built in. Card stock makes the bookmarks last.
• Instant download — files are available as soon as you check out. Nothing is shipped.
• No TODAY() tricks: nothing in this workbook guesses what today’s date is or changes a number because a day passed. A book counts toward your challenge in the month you finish it.

About how this was made: This tracker was created with the help of AI tools, then independently formula-tested (122 automated checks recalculated and verified, including blank and zero-value cases) and reviewed before listing — the same standard as every RemodelLedger product. The example reader and their notes are fictional; the books are real, because real readers log real books.
